Life on a pirate ship was full of
contrast. Seizing a prize meant
moments of great excitement
and terrifying danger.
However, inbetween there were
weeks and weeks of boredom
on the open seas. No wonder
the pirates were a quarrelsome
bunch. The captain had to run a
tight ship-eitherbydemocracy
or fear. Thethreatofmutinywas
always present. Some crews .------..r---.a------:-1 even had a code of conduct- no
one could play cards or dice for money, lights and candles had to be out at 8 and to desert the ship in time of battle was punishablebydeath. Floggings were common for minor offences. Life aboard the CCI ship is much more enjoyable at all times. Friendship is kindled
