2005 Junior Tennis Team
Members: James Alonzo, John Lachapelle, Ian Raeburn-Gibson, Andrew Osburn, Mitchell Besley, Nichole Bishop, Allison de Ruiter, Adriane Denbok, Bethany Noordegraaf, Emily Kinch, Cara Ridsdale, Derrick Wood, Jeffery Watt, Sarah Bruce, Kristin Elton, Jarrett Woodhouse. Couches: Mr. Nickel and Mrs. Hillock.
Collingwood Collegiate came in second in the GBSSA tournament defeating 15 other qualifying schools. Individual results were as follows: Jarrett Woodhouse was fourth in boys singles, the pair of Allison de Ruiter and Jeff Watt were second and Sarah Bruce and Derrick Wood were third in mixed doubles. In boys doubles, John Lachapelle and James Alonzo were second and in girls doubles Nicole Bishop and Kristin Elton were third.

CCI'sCross-CountryRunningTeamput together its finest season in almost 3 decades. Over 50 athletes ended up dominating both Simcoe County and the GBSSA Championships. C.C.I.'s largest team became known as the 'Black Sea' as it arrived at every meet with its distinctive black and gold uniforms. This impressive group captured all 4 league meets en route to Collingwood's fourth consecutive "Golden Boot" symbolic of the Simcoe County Championship.Five of the 6 teams finished in the top 3 in their respective divisions. At GB's, the Owls captured the GBSSA Overall Combined Championship for the first time in the school's history! The Midget and Junior Girls were GBSSA Champions while the sr girls were 4th leading the lady OwIs to capture the Overall Girls' title. The Jr Boys were 3rd with the Srs'4th which added to an impressive overall school performance. At OFSAA the Midget Girls and the Jr Girls captured 32nd and 18th place respectively. Being represented at OFSAA by our two youngest teams bodes well for the future of C.C.I. cross-country as the team comes off a banner year.
