Junior Girls Players
t the fall GBSSA qualifying tournament hosted by St. Joseph's of Barrie, the CCI Fighting Ow] ASenior Boys Golf Team finished in 11th place just 2 strokes away from earning a spot in the spring GBSSA championship. Christopher Croft tied for first place in the individual component of the tournament with a round of 77. This qualified Christopher for the GBSSA championship. Other members of the team included Shawn Purdy, Blake Wilson, Andrew Plummer, and Alex Jackson. The CCI Fighting Owl Girls Golf Team captured first place at the St. Joseph's Fall Classic Tournament. The team was lead by the first place finish of Kaitlin Garbutt, the second place finish of Alison DeRuiter and the sixth place finish of Tristan Eagles. Other memebers of the victorious CCI team included Michaela, Dance and Verena BaUmann. The girlsa re looking forward to the spring tournament were they hope to defend their OFSAA championship from last year.
The members of the Girls Curling Team (BOT RT) are: Skip: Emily Kinch,Vice: Mary Reynolds, Seconds: Shawna Mahoney and Natalie Salter , Lead: Michelle Roest . The girls met the first of their tearn goals this year by qualifying for and competing in the GBSSA championships held at the Essa Road Curling Club in Barrie. All curled very well and showed great curling skill both with shot-making and strategy . The team will miss graduating players Michelle Roest, Natalie Salter, and Shawna Mahoney. ThemembersoftheBoysCurlingTeam(MIDLT) are:Skip:RyanMurray,Vice:MatthewHogg,Second: Josh Mather , Lead: Jonathan Reynolds. The boys curled very well this year and showed tremendous improvement in their shot-making abilities. The team will miss graduating players Ryan Murray and Josh Mather but will continue strong next year with hopes to compete in the GBSSA championship game. The members of the Jr. Badminton Team (MID BOT) are: Kodi Bauldry, Levi Beck, Peter Bendvis, Mike Cree, Luke Combay, Kimble Mooney, Brett Moore, Taylor Reaborn-Gibson, T.J Reynolds, Alex Wilson, Emily Clark, Caitlyn Dance, Kristen Elton, Christie Gilman, Alex Glueker, Kendra Mahin, Bethany Noordegraaf, Kimberly Paker, Shannon Paulenko, Monika Sedlova.
The members ofthe Sr. Badminton Team (MID LT) are: Matthew Fuller, Declan Gombay Adam, Gravel Jeremy Johnston, Josh Mather, Ryan Murray, Andrew Osburn, Tim Proctor, Shawn Purdy, Ian Raeburn- Gibson, Travis Worth, Alex Blair, Adriane Denbok, Allison de Ruiter, Ashley Doyle, Michaele Dance, Sarah Hogan, Stacey Kinney, Ashley Luppe, Amy Robinson, Julia Roest, Virginia Walker. At this time of writing, the Badminton Teams are just beginning their season and are awaiting competition.
