The 2005 SeniorBoy's Rugby Team (TOP L T) completed another successful season, compiling a 6-4 record overall while playing a very difficult schedule against many of Ontario's best rugby teams. This included a perfect regular season record and a GBSSA semi-finalist finish where they could only be eliminated by the defending Ofsaa Gold Medalists from Barrie Central. The team featured excellent play from both its forwards and backs and is returning many outstanding players to create an exciting outlook for the 2006 season. The dangerous duo of Jamie Kerr and Jayme Hastings led the team out of the back-row this season and Jayme Hastings was named the 2005 'Hardest to Replace' Player by coaches Hammond and Bracey. The team will also miss the powerful running of 'CCI senior male athlete ofthe Year', Josh Sanderson as he moves onto university football. Unfortunately many other outstanding players will also be moving on from CCI this year and will definitely be missed. They include Andrew Cowan (centre), Tyler Dice (centre), Braden Fisher (fullback), Matt Harris (serum-half), Chris Jeffery (lock), Chris Plewes (wing), Tim Plummer (flanker), Drew Shaw (wing/Drop-goal specialist) and Kevin Worth (hooker). Good Luck in the future guys and keep on playing the game where-ever you go!! Once again the Senior Rugby team has proven itself, a team to reckoned with provincially and has put together an amazing 52-17-2 record in its 5 years of existence. Good work in keeping the winning tradition alive!
