s years Girls' Hockey Team was a fine mix of veteran leadership and y romising prospects. After a slow start the Owls turned their season around silver medal performance at the Y ork University New Y ear' s Classic . The
battled hard to end the regular season and met St. Joseph's in the quarter-finals. After periods of play, the teams were tied and went into overtime. Despite a few opportunities neither team was able to seal the victory. This lead to a shootout where girls were unable to beat the opposing net-minder. It was a tenible way to end a
that saw this group of athletes develop their knowledge of the game of hockey and individual skills. Members of the Girls Hockey Team (MID) are Carty Bell, Katie Kaylie Dankevy, Tristan Eagles, Danielle Genoe, Jaimee Glover, Kalli Green, Hamilton, Sam Martin, Paige Meesters, Emily Niermann, Kayla Nobes, Meghan Stacy Prokopec, Brittany Richardson, Jessica Rogers, Alanna Yignale and Trisin
The Boys Hockey Team got off to a slow start to the 2005-06 hockey season. Some tournament losses added to some sleepy performances early in the season put the lads
an unenviable 1-7 record. Eventually, the brilliant coaching of Hammond, McMullin Kennedy penetrated the dense skulls of the players and with improved consistency the scratched its' way to a season ending 500 mark.Best wishes go out to all graduating
but some need to be mentioned specifically. Three year players Corey EIJis and
Morgan graduate as the second and fifth all- time leaders in scoring. Thank you for leadership and service to the team. Next season could see the first ever four year
guy if all time scoring leader Blake "the Rat " Wilson fails to crack an NHL line up September. Ab·eady though, his scoring accomplishments are being challenged. '-'"•u•• nine rookie sensation Kris Dobinson is on pace to eclipse the Rat during the 2009- season. Part way through his first season, Dobby has already eclipsed Blake's checking totals. This year saw the creation of the first junior boy's tournament team March. At this stage the talent pool seems deep but there are no results to Regardless, as these junior Owls try to move to the big club, the future of the big, machine is in good hands.
