Dancing and singing were not ex- elusive only to Dorothy and her 3 companions as they made to the Emerald City. The students of CCI displayed their superb talent at the Annual Lip Sync Contest. Ittookalion' s courageto get up on thestageinfrontoftheirpeersand parents to dance in perfect syn- chronization while mouthing the words in time to the music. Some acts drew laughs as participants such as Zac Cuff (TP LT) enter- tainedinashockingpinktracksuit and Gretchan Grison (BOT RT) sported a blonde wig and mini skirt. The more serious acts drew 'ahs' with the creativity and ath- letic ability shownin the dance moves. After much debate, the judges turned in their.final deci- sion with awards and prize money going to third place winners Justine Wright's group. Coming in sec- ondplacewasthe VirginiaWalker group(BOT L T) and the top award was handed to Brooke Nickel's group. Congratulations to all.
