As a member of a Fighting Ow1team, one has to have many qualities other than been a superb athlete. The coach(es) is responsible for developing athletic skill, fitness and game knowledge in each player. However, these qualities are only a small portion of what makes a truly great CCI athlete. Each player must learn to play as a team, develop good sportsmanship and learn to balance time between practices, homework and other responsibilities. Every Owl must be committed and strive to perform to their best ability both on and off the field. For these reasons, each year the many teams and their coaches are honoured at the Annual Athletic Banquet. The pressure of the game is off and then is the time to sit back, enjoy a dinner with fellow team mates and receive a
well deserved pat on the back.
