Dating in high school has a mystery about it. It seems like the most important thing in the world during the time spent at CCI. Its a life experience that is often all time consuming, often frustrating, and most likely a feeling of being bigger than life itself. Its difficult to explain relationships in high school. The feelings one gets when holding anothers hand or kissing that person is unbelievable. Its nice knowing that someone likes you. Its nice. knowing that you feel the same way back. To quote an old classic, "I want you to want me, I need you to need me, I love you to love me." Having a relationship isnt always easy. Its something that takes a lot of work from both people. I f a relationship is going to last, one simply cant hang up and walk away when the going gets rough. The most important element, however, is that the person must know themselves. They need to know what they want and need and how that meshes with the other person. It doesnt mean that one tries to find a carbon copy of themselves. Sometimes OIJposites attract. Being cautious and taking ones time before jumping into a relationship is good. Hearts are easily broken and poorly mended. One can make a lot of dumb mistakes dating, but more often than not, a lesson is learned from each mistakes.
