teaching position here at C.C. I. He was so young that while waiting for his interview he was mistaken fora student by the former Head Secretary and told to get out of the office. Mr. Moore has been a fixture in tha technology department for 31 years, teaching many current student's parents (and possibly grandparents} He had the pnv1leged of watch1ng h1s two sons succeed and graduate from our glonous school. During thi time Mr. Moore has done much more than each; he coached girls soccer with Mr. V for 20 years (capturing!
L......,jL_.L,__JLij~uGBSSA championship) , participated in the development of staff camaraderie (Cobras) and for many years was in charge of waste disposal for the technology department. John has been a mentor for numerous people new to the teaching profession . John has big plans for retirement that include; building his club-house, spending time with Lucy his 52 Chevy pick-up (which he rebuilt), and travelling with his wife Laurel. John will be missed greatly by his colleagues, students and the rest of the school community.

in an English classroom. Over her amazing teaching career of 34 years, Ms . Wilson has contributed in so many ways , including being a
coach/advisor for the cheerleading, public speaking, press, line dancing
Free the Children, library and Gleaner groups; fittingly enough she has finished off her last here with us doing the thing she loved doing the most over the years, being a part of the C.C. tradition of great school musicals.

where she assumed the leadership position in her second year. After 10 years at CCI she and her husband Rick Berni of the Special Education Department took a three year leave of absence to live and work in sunny California! Upon her return she came to Guide the Guidance Department as Department Leader, where she continued to demonstrate her strong leadership skills. During her time at CCI, Mrs Politi-Berni was active in the student exchange program promoting and co-ordinating international exchanges for our students. She was the coach of the Tennis team and created a Gourmet Club as well. Mrs. Politi-Berni was a strong advocate for studentsa nd could always problem solve

in the Special Ed Department. Over his three decade career, Mr. Bernie helped countless students as they worked through assignments from virtually every course in the school and no doubnt students would recognize his voice echoing from room 121 .
In addition, Mr. Berni added a great deal to CCI beyond the classroom. He was a key back-stage cog for serveral musicals, coached football and hockey and back-stopped more Staff hockey games than anyone can remember. Mr. Bernie's desire to see students succeed was only matched by h is love of the Habs, the Fighting Irish, and

endeavours. He has the ability to captivate the audience, teachers and students a like. He continuously sought to encourage students to be involved in extra curricular activities like: Model United Nations, YPI Youth and Philanthropy Initiative etc. Often, teaching is just as much about what you do in the classroom as it is outside of the classroom. Marty is a true example of the teacher that practices this mentality through endless enthusiasm and zest. He has often talked about teaching in different areas like Shelbourne and Yellowknife. However, he has proudly claimed that Collingwood Collegiate is where he felt truly at home as a teacher, parent and husband. Marty, thanks on belief of the Canadian World Studies

rthwest Territories. When not teaching and volunteering her with school functions and activities, Mrs. Wilkinson enjoys nding her free time in the great ourdoors, camping, cycling,

and mathematics (in which he was awarded the Descarte award for his contributions to matematics in 2007) , Mr. Sheperd also coaches cross crountry and track & field. Over the years, he has helped with the set construction of several musicals, review s articles for the Ontario Mathematics Gazzette, and was recognized by OFFSA
