Mr. Mercer took a special interest in all of the students in the marching band, wanting to really get to know them on a personal level as well as letting them get to know him. Despite the long shooting hours the band faced, Rick made all of their time spent with him enjoyable, and the end product was a wonderful segment showcasing the fun and dedication found in our marching band. Mr. Hamlin even stated that he was already getting emails to book the band for next years parade season- not even ten minutes after the segment aired!
