FIGHTING OWLS CYCLING
The Mountain Bike team did very well this season. At the Ontario Championships, the Grade 9 Midget boys and Grade lO Junior boys both placed 3rd overall while the Senior boys team placed 2nd. Kale Swinwood-Sky was the Junior Boys champion for the Bluewater Simcoe Mountain bike series. He dominated at all races and placed llth overall at the Ontario Mountain Bike Championships.
Will Stewart was the silver medalist for the Bluewater Simcoe Mountain bike series. He placed in the top 5 at all races and
IOth overall at the Ontario Mountain Bike Championships. This was the first top ten finish at provincials for a male rider from CCI. Fighting Owls cyclists finished the Bluewater Simcoe Races series with a 3rd place finish as a team. Next year they hope to recruit more females and go for the gold.
