ALS CHALLENGE Social media allowed the "Ice Bucket Challenge· to go viral. Designed to raise awareness of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), people would post a video of themselves dumping ice water over their heads and then challenge someone else to do the same or alternatively, donate money to The ALS Association.
