UJR[ The Fifth Form C's
We have a snappy hockey team, We call ourselves the C's.
We're always skating up the ice; And falling on our knees.
There's Vera Leinster, tall and slim, And Catharine, short and fat,
And Gerty, whose triumphal grin
Is like a "Chessy Cat".
And when we get a sudden pass,
And race along the ice,
That great big Rooster comes along, And says, "That isn't nice".
And so the puck goes spinning back, And finally hits the goal,
But Kathryn shoots it out again, And saves the final toil. ·
Our little right wing is a pip, She gets, she skates, she scores; And so you see just why it is We cannot wish for more.
Iona plays on left defence,
Tall and stern and steady,
And when Marge Moore comes with the puck, You may be sure she's ready.
She checks, she shoves with might and main. And tho' she topples over, · The puck goes spinning down the ice,
And lo! the game is over.
