BASKETBALL
Do you like hockey? No? Well you like rugby then or baseball. Maybe you like them all. In that case you are a basketball fan. There is noth- ing like good snappy basketball to give a round smooth beautiful curve to your Adam's apple. If you don't play this fast game you'll soon be able to hang your hat on it.

Owing to the situation of the C.
C. l. during the winter, inter-school sports are practically nil and there- fore sports between student teams in the school are very popular. Bas- ketball is the main attraction from January to March. Prac.tically all the boys play and they are graded into two classes, Junior and Senior and a schedule drawn up. The w~nning teams have their names engraved on the shield in the upper hall.
Both sections played double sched- ules and at the end of the rounds the stand~ng was as follows:

lead of two points in the second half which they clung to tenaciously until the final whistle. Score Clark 6, and Sproule's 4.
The next game was for the Senior championship.
Newby's team early in the gamP- piled up a commanding lead with the aid of their leading scorer, Currie. At half time the score stood Newby 14, Storey 6.
During the second half the Storey- ites broke away and by playing steady basketball gained on their opponents until they gained the lead. Game ended Store 21, Newby 18.
Much of Storey's success was due to Miron's and Storey's strong de- fensive playing.
Orillia, Barrie, Midland, Collingwood Tournament
On Feb. 14 two boys' teams trav- elled down to the County town to take part in a tournament being held there. It was the first time that C.C. I. players had taken part in outside competitions. The Junior team play- ed their first game the evening they arrived. The C.C.I. boys teamed well and B.C.I. was eliminated to the tune of 17-2. Newby, Madden and Topp played well for C.C.I.
After a good night's rest the C.C. I boys met the Orillia Seniors. An early lead established by the Orillia team cost the game for Collingwood, although after half-time the game became closer, Davidson, Livingston, Walters and Guilfoyle starred for C. C.I. while Eaton and Johnston play- ed best for Orillia.. Score 16-8.
The Junior Boys played Orillia Juniors for the championship. Dur- ing the first half the Orillia boys scored time after time to make the score 14-2 for O.C.I. Newby, A rthur and Madden worked hard to keep it down. In the second half Orillia lengthened the lead and won the game 34-8. Knowles and Crutcher

The first play off game was be- tween Newby's and Guilfoyle's teams on Monday, March 17. The game was rather slow and at the final count Newby held the upper hand.
On Friday evening, March 21, the Championship games were played. The junior game was first and good combination by both teams kept th~ score close. Clark's team secured a
