The Senior Orillia team sang Bar- rie to sleep to the tune of 32-23. Ea- ton and Ness starred for th-eir res- pective teams.
Barrie-Co!Bngwood Tournament
On March 15th, the students of Barrie Collegiate blew into Colling- wood for the return games. The Sen- ior game was the first and was played Friday night. It was the fast- est game of the season. The Barrie team broke fast and by fast combin- ation had the score at 14-8 at half- time. The C.C.I. boys, as usual stag- ed their comeback and when the fin- al whistle blew the score stood 21-21. After a five minute rest, an over- time session was played. With three- quarters of a minute to go the C.C.l. was three points up and victory seemed sure. But a swift basket from a Barrie player with a free throw for good measure led the score
again 29-29. As usual Ness and Mc- Kenzie starred for Barrie while Al- len and Guilfoyle did some good shooting for the C.C.I.
Junior Game
On Saturday, the B.C.I. Junior team c•lashed with the C.C.I. boys. After four periods of fast, exciting basketball, the C. C.I. came out on top of a 15-12 score. Dyment, Hedger and Marshall starred for Barrie, while Connolly, Arthur and Bern- hardt played well for the home team.

On September 23 the C. C. I. held its thirty-third annual Sports Day. Mother Nature deigned to smile and i r , s t e a d o f th~ rai~n w h i c h u s u a l l y aceoom:panies t h i s e v e n t , Old M a n Sunshine reigned supreme.
The field events were held in the morning. In the afternoon the track sports were run off before a small but enthusiastic crowd. ·
Jack Portland snatched the Sen- ior laurels and was crowned "All A;.•ound Champion of the C.C.I." Ken Guilfoyle, the runner up, also deser- ves honorable mention with but two
lpoints less than Portland. It was not unpl the last event, the half-miie bicycle race, that the championship was decided. Both entered the race with an equal number of points and kept close to one another throughout
the distance. 'Ihey were neck and neck on the home Rtretch, but Jack managed to win by the width of a tin'.
The Intermediate championship was won by Grafton Wright.
Wright was given a hard run for the title "by 'Shakes' Arthur and Bob Storey.
The Junior Champior1 is in the !)~1"·· son oi another Wright, this time it is George Wright, no relation to Gr1.f~on, h o w e v e r .
The winning girls were: Senior, :Cdith Vieokers; Intermediate, Helen Muller, Junior, lsobel Wright.
The C.C.I. Pennant hangs in Form lB this year. This form piled up the highest aggregate of points on Field Day and also won three of the :;ix championships.
