BASKETBALL
This year, the game of Basket- bflll was renewed with much more enthusiasm than has been shown in previous years. To Miss Wales we are deeply grateful for the interest she has taken in us, and the time she has spent in coaching the teams.
C.C.I. vs. EX-STUDENTS
On November 26th, the Blac•k and Yellow played their first game with the Ex-Students. The C.C.I. couldn't seem to get going while the Ex. Students showed great ability for a team without any practice. The gamie was brought to a close with a score 21-10 in favor of the Grads.
At a later date the second game with the Grads took ulace. This time it looked as if the C.C.I. would be victorious but in the la'3t auarter, their onoonents buckled down to work. When the final wbic;tle bk~w. the score was in favor of the Grads.

from Midland, Orillia, Barrie and
Collingwood participated in the tour-

The local Senior Girls' team play- ed Midland for the first time. A1cer leading the scoring throughout the game. a victory was snatched from the Black and Yellow during the last few minutes.
The Junior girls' team also play- ed Midland. A\- the beginning the C.C.I. seemed to be lost on the floor, but in the latter part of the game, they recovered and played a real game of basketball. However when
the final whistle blew, the score was in favor of the Midland team.
BARRIE AT C.C.I.
On March 15th, the Barrie girls were our guests. The Junior game was scheduled finst and it .proved interesting to the many supporters, and fans. Henrietta Vickers was the most outstanding player for the C. C. I. while Harriet Hart starred for the Barrie team. In the final period the scqre was tied but Barrie suc- ceeded in breaking away and the score ended 20-16 for B.C.I.
The :::3enior girls of Barrie are to be congratulated on their splendid basketball team. Although our girls put all they' had into the game, Bar- rie could not be defeated. Elsie Hahn starred for the locals and Doris Kearns was outstanding for the B.C. I. The final score was 39-24.
INTERFORM BASKETBALL
This year the teams were divided into Junior and Sen•ior basketball. Third, Fom th and Fl~th Form and Snedal Commercial ("( mprised :;hr~ Senior League and the contests we-r·~ exceedingly interesting. The Special Commerc·ial team has won every game which places them in first place with Form Four a close second.
The Junior games have not been quite as fast but great enthusiasm has been displayed by the spectators and participants. Form 1A has se- cured first place and Form 2B the runner up.

Elsie Hahn-Forward. Fast and steady and a crack shot.
Elsie LeRoy-forward. Good eye for the basket and full of energy.
Stella McQueen-full of vim and vigour and a good combination play- er.
V erna Lougheed- defence, V erna has the required speed and is a good combination player.
Annie Crone-a steady and effec- tive defence player.
