We are living to-day in a period of depression. A great many men and women who never lacked work before are now in enforced idleness.
If you look around you, you will see that the first man to be laid off is, as a rule, the untrained man. You will also notice that, even if a trained man does lose his job, it is easier for him. to get another.
With these things before him; every student of the Colling- wood Collegiate Institute .should answer in his heart the two questions which follow:
In the competition ahead of you, which is called life, are you going to be a trained or an untrained man ?
Are you making the best use of your time in these, your days of training?
