ST AFF CHANGES
During the past year the general organization of the school has been disturbed by few changes in the per- sonnel of the staff.
In the early fall a vacancy in the position of assistant commercial in- structor was filled by Miss Wright. after whose limited sojourn and RPeedy departure the services of Miss Stillman were obtained. During Miss Frizelle'.s prolonged illness, charge of the Household Science department was taken by Miss Golding.
Thus the efficient work of our staff goes on and we hope and trust that in the coming year they may be nerm:itted to work together, eaeh in his present capacity.

The Collingwood Collegiate Insti- tute boasts not only a champion in sport but also a leader in art. The work of our talented young poetess has been published in the Toronto Daily Star, the Mail and Empire, and the High School T•eachers' Mag- azines. It was read to all the editors of school magazines at the Editor's Convention held in Toronto and i udged as one of the best written dur- ing 1930. We are justly proud of our young poetess, Miss Mary Wise- man. Have you read her latest poems in the Poetry section? Read them.
Each fall, under the auspices of the Sigma Phi Women's Journalistic Fraternity and the Department of
University Extension; \the edi1)Jrs and business managers of high sch'ool and collegiate annuals meet to hear lectures and discuss topics which have a bearing on the publish- ing of a year book. Hundreds of re- presentatives gather from all On- tario for two days, packed full of lively discussions, lectures by pro- minent business men, journalists and editors and entertainment. .Francis Herrington, representing the C. C. l. last faU returned just ove:r!Zlowing with enthusiasm and ideas for our 1931 edition. The Sigma Phi Frater- nity and the Department of Univer- sity Extension are to be commend- ed for the good work they are doing.
It's not the gale but the set of the sail

It is a good thing to be rich, And a good thing to be strong But it is a better thing
To be beloved by many friends.
