J . Duggan
The programme completed during this school year was probably the most extensive ever undertaken by the C.C.I. Cadet Corps. Every member of the Cadet Corps~ which in- cludes all boys of the school except Sea Cadets, did some shooting and all but a few completed some part of the course. Lt. T.L. Boyle under the direction of Capt. D.A. MacRae was in charge of the training.
·The regular programme was divided into the three parts:
(1) Annual qualifying Course: This was taken by all be- ginners and by all others who had not satisf"actorily com- pleted it before . Before the cadets were allowed on the range they were given lectures and demonstrations on shooting techniques and safety precautions. In this course there are three types of shooting : grouping) application , and snapshooting. The maximum combined score for all
three types is 100. If a cadet obtains 95 or over he qualifies as a sniper, if 88 to 94 as an expert. There are no -special awards for this course .
(2) Canadian army Recreational Shooting this year was taken by cadets who had obtained 88 or over in (1) and
