The drama Club is one of the new organizations in the school. Despite early predictions that this club could
not successfully proceed, it has gone ahead remarkably well considering, that so far it has not asked the Student Coun- cil for any support• .However in the near future we expect the Student Council will be hearing fr~m us. Inasmuch as this is a new organization there are all kinds of snags
which we run intoo At the present time there is no proper stage scenery. It is to be hoped in the near future that
we can have all these things and more, in order to make the plays we do for you much bettere Several people in the school approached the members of the club and said: "Well,
why do you not do more plays and skits?" We wish to remind these folks that to do more plays we need a bigger support- ing, shall we say team; actors are as a rule easy to find but it is the people who work behind the scenes in drama that make the show go ono People are needed who will take the responsibility of looking after setting the stage, who will make stage scenery, who will work hard and strive to make the stage and its players really come to lifeo So
the next time you criticize a new organization make sure your criticisms are constructive and not destructive. Maybe the person who criticizes could help to overcome the fault of the club if he were to join. We are not saying that we do not like criticism, we do, but please remember that this is a new organization and we ar e working under more than one handicap.
