Jim Bellamy and John Wickstrom, look for a booK.
This year we note that students are taking good advantage of the improved fa- cilities of our Library. This interest in the Library is also reflected in the increased membership of the Library Club itself-- almost double that of last year. No doubt, much of this renewed interest stems from the wider range of reference material and fiction made possible by the addition of 350 new titles to the library shelves. The Library Club believes it speaks for the student body as a whole in expressing to Miss Shaw, Chief Librarian, appreciation of her efforts, in both time and labour, in bringing the Library to its present state of effieiency.
Elaine Weldon, President
The Camera Club, now a Department of the Gleaner, is responsible for a considerable portion of the photographic material appearing in the Y earbook. Sports activities, drama, dances, public speaking, and important as- semblies are subjects for the Club photo- grapher.
Pictures are developed and printed in the new darkroom in the Technical Wing, and are then submitted to· the Gleaner Production Staff for consideration of requirements of size and form. The prints made from these requirements become part of your Gleaner.
The character and quality of a Yearbook is dependent in no small degree upon the initiative and efficiency of its photographic section. By training and developing good student photographers, the Camera Club believes it is making a significant contribution to the Gleaner and the School.
