The trend towards more actual business experience for the graduating class was further strengthened by this year's activities.
Local business men have already indicated their interest in participating in "Job Interview Week". This venture, attempted last year for the time, succeeded in placing five graduates, and we hope that this year the number may be substant- ially increased.
A visit to Magistrates Court in Collingwood on March 16th gave some thirty-five students a first hand look at juctice in action. Magistrate Kennedy of Barrie, the presiding judge, expressed pleasure at the interest shown by the class.
Of great value to students planning employ- ment in a large city was the annual trip to Toronto on April 9th. Three companies-- Canada Life Assurance, Bell Telephone, and Texaco Canada, Ltd. --were visited as a means of providing stu- dents with some insight in to the operations of "big business" Students saw large office "pools", secretaries in action, and the use of data processing equipment in the modern business world.
To our graduating class, then, a fond farewell, but not goodbye. May you take with you the wish of all commercial students for success and happi- ness in our future endeavours.
