Badminton Club
This year was regarded as one of the most successful in the history of the CCI Badminton Club, with many old faces and a few new ones at the regular Wednesday night meetings. The stu- dents were usually well-behaved and should be commended on making Wednesday nights enjoy- able for all concerned.
On March 19, the Badminton Team,composed entirely of Wednesday night regulars, attended the GBSSA Badminton Tournament held at Barrie Central.. Although they did not bring home any major awards, the team did quite well. The team gave the best in the GBSSA a good fight. Catherine Redpath and Bill Miller respectivelywon the con-
solation Girls' and Boys' Singles events, after be- ing eliminated in the first round of the tournament.
In winning the consolation event, it should be noted that Bill Miller defeated one of the most improved members of our own team, Dave Holroyd.
The Badminton Club would like to express their many thanks to Mr. McLean and Mr. Beckett for giving up some of their valuable time in order to coach the team and make possible the regular meetings on Wednesdays. We would like them to know that we sincerely appreciate their patience and concernfor all the members of the Badminton
