SENIOR SOCCER
Under the competent coaching of Mr. Banks and Mr. VandeWeerdhof, this year's Senior Soccer team finished second in their league after Meaford.
The team lost out to Bracebridge in the GBSSA league by only one goal which was scored in overtime in a sudden-death game.
This year the team also attended a tournament in Richmond Hill.
Under captain Ron Picot, the forwards, Dave Skelton, Gary Shaw, John Banks, Larry Laughlin, Emil Lubasz, George Best and George Beatty provided the scoring punch. Halfbacks Tom Banks, Jim Badowski, Richard Badowski, Leo Kea, and Ron Reid provided both scoring and de- fence while fullbacks Henri Verbruggen and Harold Porter provided de- fence for goalie Casey Meesters.
This year;s team had many newfaces in it. This is a fact which may make it a championship team next year as they have gained valuable ex- perience this year.
