This year's Senior V olleyball team, under the able coach- ing of Mr. Fischer and capable playing of such veterans as Dave Homuth, Dave Skelton, Reid Stewart, George Stephen- son, Steve Scott and others, started the season by defeating Alliston three games straight in a best of five series. In the return match Collingwood was again victorious defeating Alliston three games out of five.
In the GBSSA tournament, the team met with less success. After defeating Orillia, they fell prey to a strong Huntsville team who proceeded to the finals.
In spite of their loss in the tournament, this team is to be congratulated for a hearty and spirited effort. Mr. Fischer is to be thanked for his great amount of time and energy he put into his job.
