INTERMEDIATE BASKETBALL
As you probably know, the Intermediates were stopped short of the GBSSA this year. After winning all of our games except one, we suffered a heartbreaking defeat in a semi-final game with Barrie Central. Those who came out to support us are thanked.
Two outstanding players this year were Bill Bishop and Zygmunt Szewczyk. Bill's superb rebounding and Zygmunt's deadly jump shot helped keep the team alive. Other backers of these two were Darrin Johns, Garry Crittenden, Leo Kea and in fact the whole of the team.
Mr. Liotta, who coached us last year, had to leave CCI and the entire team was sorry to see him go. Coaching duties were ably taken over by Mr. Quinlan. The team is behind me, I am certain, in thanking Mr. Quin- lan for his efficient coaching. It would have been nice to retain the tra- dition established last year, but now all we can do is wait for next year.
