One thing worse than losing a football game is losing a close one, and the CCI Fighting Owls suffered the latter fate very often. But over 20 players should be returning and the jun- iors were champs, so the future looks bright.
Through it all, a hard core stuck together and in the last game, on the last play in a driv- ing rain; we scored a touchdown to defeat Stayner.
