CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING
CCI's Cross country team had another successful year. In the Simcoe County Cross Country League, Terry Best, Vaughn Lantz, and Andy Lane won the individual overall titles in the senior, junior and midget classifications, while Kendra Titus and Wilma Lindhorst finished second and third in the senior girls. The senior boys team finished tied for first.
Eight athletes (out of 13 members) qualified for OFSSA at the GBSSA meet. Terry finished second in the senior boys while Vaughn Lantz and Andy Lane each finished third in their races. The senior boys team of Terry, Kenneth Lindhorst, Gary Lane, and Paul Zeggil finish- ed second. Kendra and Wilma finished fourth and seventh respectively, in the senior girls race. Denise Minardi and Keri Titus ran very well to finish eighth and eighteenth respectively, but did not qualify for OFSSA.
At OFSSA, Kendra finished 21 out of a field of over 200 while Terry finished 33 in his race.
