SENIOR
FOOTBALL
The Senior Fighting Owl Football team boasted a record this year that matched any previous senior team in the past 3 decades. But for a game under the worst possi- ble conditions, we might have won it all. The team won seven straight games, outscoring the opposition
114-34. We opened the season by stunning a strong Park St. team 28-13. Arch-rivals, Stayner fell next 11-8. The defense, "went on a tear" for the next three games allowing the opposition only a single point; Penetang 18-1, Twin Lakes 17-10, Midland 27-0 . The season ended in Stayner with a CCI victory 13-6. In the semi-final CCI defeated a strong Banting team 26-8. Then came the heart-
breaking loss to Barrie, 6-0, in a blizzard. They never scored a T-D, we never quit, but our pass oriented offense was grounded in the inclement weather.
With some good juniors on the way up and many returning seniors, the future looks bright for Senior Owl Football.
