MIDGET GIRLS' BASKETBALL
After suffering defeats in two of the first three games, the team went on to complete the regular season by win- ning the next eight in a row. The team then went on to win the Zone Tour- nament and qualify for GBSSA. Ex- cellent play in the semi-finals put Collingwood through to the final round. In an exciting game in which the whole team played controlled and disciplined basketball, the Midget .Fighting Owls lost by two points but won the ad- miration of the large enthusiastic crowd. The coach commends all girls on their spirit and dedication.
SENIOR GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Senior Girls' Basketball Team had a very good year just missing out on the playoffs. Their season record was 4 wins and 3 losses. However, Stayner edged us out of the playoffs by winning their final game by 2 points against Eastview . An added newcomer was Outi Pietila from Finland and she certainly contributed a great deal to the team.
