SENIOR BOYS
The senior boys had an overall record of 20 victories against only 6 defeats. Their league record was an impressive 9 wins and 1 loss. Despite a discouraging playoff loss to Barrie lnnidale, the Senior Boys won ten of their last twelve games. The Senior Owls captured the Buckeye In- vitational in Stayner , the Penetang In- vitational , finished second in the Redskin Invitational at Barrie Central and won the consolation championship at the Senior Tournament at Barrie North.
The team was led by Simcoe County All- Star MVP George (shake and bake) Howard, whose quick hands earned him many steals which became easy layups. North Tournament All-Star Andrew (ZZ) Top and Andrew (Leaky) Fawcett con - trolled the boards and both averaged points in double figures. Pat (Ted) Molloy had the sweet outside shot, while Andrew (Bully) Bulmer controlled the offensive and defensive tempo with his methodical play. Colin (Psycho) McClure added intensity while Kevin (Wattsy) Watts added stability and rebounding strength. Scott (Farmer) McKean and Mike Oudit added an Of- fensive punch while Grant Spears gave the Owls defensive hustle outside shot. Coaches Allard and Hirst were proud of the team's play and the way that the team developed through the season .
MIDGET BOYS
The 1985-86 basketball season has been a very successful one for the Midget boy's Fighting Owls. This season the boys had an elev~n game winning streak as well as winning our own tournament for only the third time in the tournaments eleven year history. Hard work by the entire team throughout the season helped create the strong offense and the timely defense needed to provide C.C.I. with a midget boy's team to be proud of.
JUNIOR BOYS
The junior fighting owls of 1985-86 began the season with only one returning player from last years team which ad- vanced to the zone finals. However, the team had a strong nucleus of upcoming midgets who showed excellent team defense and hustle in the opening con- tests. This attitude payed off as the Junior Owls won their first four games decisively over Banting (41-37) , St. Joes (77-33) , lnnisdale (51-44) and Bradford (55-37). In their next two games, the Owls faced the more experienced teams fro m Eastview and North. In the end the team came up short on the scoreboard possibly due to injuries and illness to several key players. By Christmas break, the teams record stood at 4 wins and 2 losses, good enough forth ird place.
