The Collingwood Collegiate Cycling Club is affiliated with the Coll- ingwood Club which sponsors young racers in various events across Ontario. In late May or early June, the C.C.I. Cycling Club will go on an extended camp- ing tour.

0LF Getting 'teed' off
C.C.L golfers participated in September in the 9th Annual Huronia Team Championships hosted by the Midland Golf and Country Club. A six man senior team consisting of Mike Ondercin, John Redick, Chris Beckett, Dave Dunn, Rob Hoh:oyd and Derek Griffiths placed fourth in a field of9 senior teams. In the spring of '87, the C.C.I. team hosted their own third annual invitational tourna- ment at the Blue Mountain Club. Despite some very cool and windy conditions, C.C.l. golfers made an impressive showing in a field of over 100 participants.
Chris Beckett led the way for the "Fighting Owls", shooting the best score for the day at a sizzling 76. Brad Wells, Mike Ondercin and John Redick made up the balance of the senior squad, placing second in a tough field of L2 teams. The senior event was captured by Alliston who edged out C.C.I. by 3 shots. In the junior competition, our school was well represented by Graham Perry, Dave Dunn, Derek Griffiths and Joey Cunningham. The junior boys placed 4th in a field of 14 teams. Graham Perry led the way with an-89.
The team was coached this year by Mr. Aikens and Mr. Beckett in the absence of head coach, Mr. Jardine. The squad is looking forward to 1988-89 and the return of Coach Jardine from is two years on the California High School Tour.
