HEERLEADING
TEAM ...
Give me a w-i-s-e
he 1987-88 Cheerleading Team was very successful. Their taccomplishments included a Pep rally, the Santa Claus Parade, Grade Eight Day and cheering for numerous football games. The team introduced jazz and aerobic programmes this year. As well, the girls were actively involved in fund-raising in order to purchase new uniforms. In May,they continued with their fund-raising drive as well as entering two cheerleading
competitions.
They had a lot of fun working as a team and increasing school spirit.
They really enjoyed the feeling of victory, but weren't too thrilled about the cold. However, their spirit and enthusiasm kept them going!!! Next year, any student MALE or female who is interested in supporting school spirit is encouraged to try out for the team. Give a loud cheer for our fine cheerleaders and hats off for a job well done to captain, RacheUe Deshaies!
