uring United Appeal W eek, DMr. Hamlin received a new image of punk rocker thanks to the help(?) o f several music students. A slave auc- tion was held and the music teacher was placed on the block. Five young Ladies, all of whom were Mr. Hamlin's students, purchased the man for an outstanding $25.00! "I'm aghast/ I though that all of my students were 'FLAT' broke. It's wonderful that they would 'B SHARP' enough to grab . me up. I'll have to take 'NOTE' of that. I wonder what they'll have me do. Perhaps they just want my "SIGNITURE"', he is rumored to have said. Little did he realize what the
girls had in mind!
After some discussion, they set to
work. Under the Leadership of one of the girls named Heather, they decided to give him a 'YOUNG1 look - complete with spiked hair, tons of spray and, as a final touch, a pair of granny glasses. At the end of the day and the conclusion of·· his stint as a slave, Mr. Hamlin was last seen running to the washroom in order to resume his former look.

Mr. Redmond's grade 12 chemistry class raised an incredi- ble amount of money for C.C.I.'s annual United Appeal fund raising week. The en- tire class ventured out in the wet and cold to Leap-Ftog down Hurontario St. and back.
Local businesses were asked to sponsor the class and those which did, had their names painted on cup- boards that were car- ried with the leapers.
Pat Bowey, who is ever the good citizen, took off his hat and solicisted funds from amused and generous passers-by.
