This year the Enrichment For The Arts Committee provided the students of C.C.I. with 2 totally dif- ferent and fascinating performances. The National Tap Dance Company, renowned as the nation's 'best known hoofers', presented a spirited display of jigs, reels and step-dancing. "Somethin's Rockin' in Den- mark'' retold the tragic tale of Hamlet through pop ballads, boogie-woogie, jazz, country and western, Broadway razzamatazz. and rhythm and blues. Special thanks to the committee members, Mrs. Leslie Worts, Chris McLean and Derrick Sanders.

CONTESTS
WISE MATH STUDENTS ...
On February 19th, 60 students in grades 9, 10 and
11 participated in the Canadian Mathematics Competition.
In the grade 9 Pascal Contest, our team of 34 students did extremely well ranking in the top 100% across Canada. In our zone, out of 18 schools, the Pascal team from C.C.I. placed second with Barrie Eastview capturing 1st spot.
This was a big improvement over C.C.I.'s 9th place position the year before.
Certificates of Distinction were awarded to Jason Brearly, Stephen Cruve, Aaron Hamden, Glen Duyvestyn, Carl French, Stephen Czemy, Kathy Haynes and Jeff Scott. Certificates of Merit went to Jennifer Booth, Elise Croll, Allen Emond, Jody Ottewell and Tim Culham.
In the grade 10 Cayley Contest, C.C.I. 's team of 13 students also did well ranking in the top 50% across Canada. It also placed 11th out of 16 schools in our zone. Jeff Stransky received a certificate of Distinction and Team Certificates went to Alison Kelly, Mike Cooper and Jeff Stransky.
In the grade 11 Termat contest, Nancy Locke ob- tained the highest mark on the team from C.C.I. and was in the top 10% in Canada and 12th individually in our zone. Nancy received a Certificate of Distinc- tion and a Team Certificate along with Monte Rigney and Yvonne Leliveld.
