PLAYING THE BOARDS
Midget Girls' Basketball
This year's C.C.I. Midget Girls' Basketball
team had a successful and exciting season. We became known as the OVERTIME heroines. In regular season play, the team's record was 9-1, including a triple overtime win against Banting. In exhibition play, the team record was 3-0, including 2 overtime wins against Midland S.S. In tournament play, we were runners-up against Barrie North, in the North tournament and Cham- pions in the Stayner tournament, with another overtime win against Eastview. In Zone finals, we defeated Banting on the Tuesday, lost to North on Wednesday and defeated Eastview on Thursday to advance to the GBSSA finals. After defeating Midland twice during the season, we came up flat and lost in the morning game. The team worked well together and shows tremendous poten- tial for the future.

Senior Girls' Basketball
What started out as a season of rebuilding
became one of great achievement. The team went undefeated in league play and acquit- ted itself well in tournaments at Acton and here at C.C.I. Height was certainly con- spicuous by its absence, and most of the team members were lacking in court ex- perience. Through hard work, hustle and en- thusiasm, this became a team to be reckon- ed with and qualification for GBSSA play-offs was the reward . Sally, lack of depth proved our undoing against our old nemesis, Eastview. The season had many highlights, not least the "pop a shot" interlude, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by players and coaches alike. Most members will be mov- ing on and we wish them well!
