SMALL, BUT MIGHTY TEAMS
This year's Wrestling Team was small, but mighty!! We had our first opportunity to have a wrestling room and were thus able to practice after school on weekdays. This dramatically im- proved our quality of result. Several meet were won this ye<;ir including: the regional qualifie~s of the Canada Summer Games, the Ontario Championships, the C.C.I. Invitational and Dave Re,n- dall Jr. Tournament, the Georgian Bay, Simcoe County, and Area 4 Elementary School T ournament.
pions included Reinhardt Keller (2nd. Championship), Jay Grainger (3rd. Championship), Dean Y oung and Kevin Zeggil. Second place went to Rob Tuersley and 3rd. to Gerry Lefeuvre while Kurt Whitlock placed 4th. Allan Emond, Andrew Sneyd, Ron Perkins and Bob Hewitt placed 5th.
Jay, Reinhardt and Rob qualified for the Canadian Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan and Gerry was a double gold medalist in the Ontario Championships . Yes, this was an outstanding year for quality wrestling!
