Dear Mr. Traynor,
Hey Man! What's happenin'? This is it. It is all over. The fat lady is getting ready to croon. She's clearing out the phlegm of life from her throat and she's gearing up for the grand finale.
That assembly today was unbelievable! I never thought that it would be so difficult to leave this place. It's times like these when we do look back on the last five years and remember the good times and the bad. When it all comes down to the bottom line ... I'd have to give the teachers of C.C.I. a rousing applause. We must have the most insane variety of instructors in the province. I've only had one teacher in C. C. I. that I've disliked, but I won't mention a name. Don't worry, it's not you. That's a pretty darn good track record, don't you think?
Well. I'm out of here. I'm off to an institute of higher learning. I hope to go to the University of Guelph if my marks are high enough at the end of June. If not, I'm off to Carleton or Wind- sor. I've been accepted at both. I've had an amazing time this year. Thank you.
You have me pegged all wrong, Sir. I'm not going to be the pipe-smoking bore with children named "Chip". I'm too left wing for that. History is more of a hobby than anything. My real calling is Politics. One of these days you will see me on T .V.. I won't be in the hole, though. I'll probably be one of those guys be- ing dragged away from a nuclear test site or a NATO base.
Well, I'm out of here. It's been a slice, Sir. We'll see you around and we'll see you on the evening news.
Peace and Love, Michael McDonald
