Each year exchanges are offered to France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the province of Quebec and are open to any student in the Department of Modern Languages.
In the summer, students will welcome their partner into their home where they become another mem- ber of the family. CCI students leave Ontario from February to April (according to their destination) and return from May to July.
This year, CCI welcomed Pauline Faure from France and Christiane Genton from Switzerland. Both girls made many new friends in the Collingwood area. In semester two, Alix Paxton will be joining Pau- line in Grenoble, France and Tracey Edwards will be visiting Christiane in Ecublens, Switzerland near Lausanne. CCI looks forward to welcoming another group of exchange students in the coming school year. "The Ontario Exchange Programme is great. Christiane had a great time and she can't wait to get back to Canada. I am very excited about going to Switzerland and I am sure that I will have a won- derful timel"

ON TO SEVILLE OLYMPICS
For the second year in a row, the Midget Boy's Volleyball team brought home the GBSSA trophy. What was so surprising was that none of these play- ers were on last year's winning team. During an extensive interview with Coach Richmire, he disclosed that three of the team's winning secrets were: no hats were allowed during play, they always wore ties to away games and, following the advice of Mr. Hirst, each morning throughout the season, they met for a drilling practicell! What was the worst part of the season??? Coach Rich- mire admitted that they also broke another record this season, but it had no- thing to do with the players. "Coach Nuttley broke more pens this year than in any other by throwing them on the floor in his excitement during a game. At last count, 47 pens were destroyedI"
