JR. AND SR. BOYS BASKETBALL TEAMS
The 96-97 Junior Owls posted a season record of 9-6 and advanced to the playoff round. The team was lead by team captain . Peter Jamieson, at point guard followed by Bryan Garon and Mike Liotta mov- ing the ball to Andrew Hooper, Matt Campbell, Joe Prokopec, Ryan Rice, Nathan Lambe, and Luka Senk , who fell the ball into the big men Craig Broad- hurst, Sasha Junozovic, Darryl Kemsley and An- drew Comly. Coaches Allard and Meadley were impressed by the team spirit and good sportsman- ship exhibited throughout the season. (TOP LT) At 6'5" , Chris Skeaff has no problem dunking the ball for another CCI victory. (BOT AT) Members of the Jr. Owl team were: Craig Broadhurst, Matt Campbell, Andrew Comly, Chris Flint, Bryan Garon, Andrew Hooper , Peter Jamieson, Sash a Junozovic , Darryl Kemsley, Nathan Lambe, Mike Liotta, Ryan Phillips, Joe Prokopec, Ryan Rice and Luka Senk. The CCI Senior Boys Basketball Team completed another successful season, finishing with a 14-12 overall record and making the playoffs for the twelfth consecutive season, despite competing in the very strong South Divisions of Simcoe County. Highlights of the year included capturing the Consolation Championship in the 16-team Queen's University Invitational, a double-overtime victory over rival Streetville in front of a big home crowd.
