ALPINE + NORDIC SKI TEAMS
The Alpine Ski Team had an excellent season with Levels 1, 2 and 3, Boys + Girls) earning an amazing 1st place at the Barrie North + ln- nisdale Invitational meet Alison Dunning and Jen Gourlie achieved individual places of 1st + 2nd . The Level1 Boys were also successful with 2nd place, finishing 1st at the Twin Lakes meet at Alpine, with Mike Campitelli placing 2nd individually. The Level 1 Girls place 3rd at this race, with Alison Dunning achieving an individ- ual 2nd place. The Level 2 teams did equally well. At the Huntsville meet, the boys placed 1st, with Dane Bourgard placing 2nd individu- ally, and the girls placed third. Both team achieved the trophy for best combined results. At the Twin Lakes race, the girls placed 2nd + the boys took 3rd place. The highlight of the season for both these teams was at C.C.I.'s meet at Georgain Peaks, where they both placet first. The Level 3 races had terrific results through- out the season. Josh McNulty + Dave Camp- bell placed 1st + 2nd respectively in Huntsville + the the Twin Lakes meet + Marko Senk + Jeff Sturch placed 1st + 2nd at the C.C.I meet Erin Flynn placed 3rd at this race. All teams were invited to GBSSA + were close contenders for OFSAA. Despite their fantastic effots, only Level 3 skiers went to Ottawa. Jeff Sturch made C.C.I proud with a 2nd in the slalom race + Erin Flynn + Marko Senk, while they didn't place, were amazing to watch. Congratulations go to Coaches Redding, Testa + Tatham.
