Field trips are an important part of learning and CCI students have the opportunity to trot the ~lobe. History students travelled to New York, the music students were offto Florida as well 1s local trips to Toronto and the community.
fhe French trip to Quebec City.
=:arly one Wednesday morning, Mrs.Kelly, Mrs.Carson, Mr. Carson and 31 French students ;tood patiently waiting for their bus to pick them up. A half an hour later, Jim, the bus driver 1rrived. Everyone boarded the bus and we started the first of9 movies to be viewed over the 1ext 4 days.
rhe first stop was at the Big Apple (remember the rabbits??). We arrived in Quebec City that :vening, we drove around the block a few times, then walked to the closest mall for supper.
\t 7 we met our tour guide Brian, checked into our hotel rooms, went to see a 30
>resentation in Old Quebec, then we went back to the hotel for a dip in the pool/hot tub. After
l restful night of sleep (NOT!), we went skiing/snowboarding for the day at Stoneham ski esort. The hills were great, the glades were interesting, and the snowboard park was awesome! fyou looked closely, some of the runs spelled "I SKI". That evening, we ate, danced, and ,Jayed the spoons at Pierre's Sugar Shack (remember the bus got stuck!). This evening was nuch more restful! Friday was spent touring sites ofOld Quebec (Chateau Frontenac, le imiculaire, even the smallest house), Shopping, and touring the Beaupre Coast
Sainte-Anne's Basilica, a woodcarver's shop, the bread house, Montmorency Falls), and kiing/snowboarding in the evening. Saturday was our return date, but since all ofthe tudents made the trip so enjoyable for the chaperones, the latter decided to allow everyone I 1our in the mall. (Some spent up to $500 in that little time!)
twas a fun trip, enjoyed by all & Miss Mills is looking forward to chaperoning next year.
