The Senior Boys Soccer team of 2005 enjoyed a very successful season, repeating as GBSSA "AAAA" champions. The season went very well for the boys, as they cruised through regular season play with a 5 and 1 record. With this record, the team finished in second place advancing to the GBSSA ' s finals held in Collingwood at the new Fisher Field pitches.
In the semi-final game, the boys met Eastview and played their strongest defensive game of the year. Eastview was limited to chances from well outside the danger areas, and CCI was able to capitalize on its chance, advancing them to the championship match.
In the final, CCI met Banting who had defeated the favoured team from Barrie North in a 9 player shootout. The Owls struck twice early in this match against Banting and then fell back into a defensive shell. Despite tired legs the boys stayed determined and limited Banting's chances to the outside and clearing all balls sent through. The entire team game everything they had and emerged victorious forth second year in a row. The team will head to the OFSAA Championships in Toronto in June 2006.

Jr.Boys on the way to a big game!
The Junior Girls' Soccer team had an outstanding season this year, despite the band trip, which took 9 of our players, leaving us with 11. The small but mighty crew battled hard and were quite excited when their musical counterparts returned. With a full squad, we entered the playoffs as the underdogs against Eastview. The girls fought hard and came out on the winning end of a 1-0 score. Then it was off to the GBSSA championships at Innisdale. The girls won the first game in penalty kicks and went on to the finals. Unfortunately, the girls faced a tough Bear Creek crowd and lost, but ending up as the second best team in the county is still a fantastic accomplishment! Congratulations to the entire team- you were a pleasure to coach. The Junior Girls Soccer Team consist of Tonya Cailes, Krista Curran, Sam Currie, Courtney Erickson, Lindsay Forest, Megan Forest, Denielle Genoe, Dallas Gragan, Nikki Jones, Stacy Kinney, Jen Lavers, Jordan MacDonald, Stephanie MacDufie, Erin Mccarroll, Kayla Nobes, Stephanie Synnott, Tristin Vogel, Courtney White, Karli Woods, Jordan Wright.
