The CCI fighting owls started off the season with a big win against Barrie North, 34-7.But the next 2 games the Owls lost, a close one against Innisdale 20-17 and then against Park Street 19-7, the Owls went into that game expecting to win but they lost because of bad weather and not enough effort, that game was the best thing that happened the Owls learned a lesson to work harder. Closing the season with 2 wins against Banting & Bear Creek, 4-2 record. The Owls won the semi finals at Innisdale 35-7. Played against Eastview for the GBSSA Finals, winning 14-10. This win was the first GBSSA Championship in the past 76 years for CCI. After that the Owls went on to play in the National Capital Bowl Semi finals. Playing against Crestwood from Peterborough, it was a heartbreaking lose. The Owls lost 22-15, there was 2:48 left in the game it was tied 15-15, and then the other team got a touchdown. Overall the Owls had a great season.
