team was missing when we set out for Barrie. We were royally welcomed by staff and pupils and as usual our trip to Barrie we all enjoyed. The Barrie girls showed much more baseball ability than in previous years and downed our girls by a 14-12 score. It was anybody's game until the last innings, but it was an un- lucky day for the C. C. I. girls. The new players are to be com- mended on the splendid fight they put up, while the old ones played th;Jr usual steady game, always encouraged, of course, by the perfect sportsmanship of their captain, Catherine Mac- Arthur.
C. C. I. at Owen Sound
In Owen Sound the softball team also was determined to do its bit for the black and yellow, and incidentally to have a good time. But, due to weather conditions, the game had to be played in the gym under indoor rules. It was a bit bewildering and
