C.C.I. we were defeated 20 to 12. Collingwood vs. Owen Sound (Oct. 5)
The first league game of the G.B. F.L. was played in Owen Sound be- fore a large crowd. Players and offi- c,ials, alike, sensed their ability m oratory and used it at every turn. As for the play; the C.C.I. linemen were working smoothly under the
guiding ha~d of Walters. Newby, Portland, D1tson and McDermid gave good support in the backfield but we were edged out in the scoring. The game ended 7-3 for Owen Sound.
Collilngwood vs. Barrie (Oct. 13th.)
About a minute after the ki-ck off Portland for C. C. I. romped 90 yards for a touch and then converted. This is getting to be a habit of his. Barrie retaliated with arouge. In the last half the game was more
even. Collingwood securing a rouge and kick. McGinnis and Dyment fig- ured largely in the B.C.I. team while Gaughan, McDermid and Ditson showed nice style for the C.C.l. Th-2 game ended 8-1 for the C.C.I.
Owen Sound vs. Collingwood (Oct. 26)
O.S.C.I. returned the game before a large attendance. Portland of the C.C.I. and Bunt of Owen Sound were well matched for the kicking honors. The game was speedy and with two minutes to go the score was 2-1 in Owen Sound's favor. The game ended in uproar. Score 2-1 for
Owen Sound.
Ccllingwood vs. Barrie (Nov. 15)
The Seniors, for the past week, had ceased to practise and were con- sequently outclassed in the last game of the season. The Ba:.tde Seniors were f~ling at home and played well. McGinnis for Barrie played brilliantly while Gaughan, Cook and
Staples in the Collingwood forward line held everything. The C. C. L Seniors scored via the aerial route while B.C.I. figured in two touche&

Old Boys vs. C.C.I.
On Thanksgiving Day an exhibi- tion tilt was staged with the Old Boys. The game was played before the largest crowd of the seĀ·ason. Dur- ing the first half the Seniors kicked on first down. The Old Boys were unable to stand the pace, although they had two separate teams. Dur- ing the first half Portland ran baok a catch for a touchdown. In the sec- ond half the Seniors broke loose and tallied with two major scores. As the game drew to a close the Old Boy,:;
were in C.C.I. territory and threat- to swamp the Seniors. The game ended Old Boys. 2; C.C.I. 15.
JUNIOR RUGBY
The C.C.I. Junior Team this year set a record which will be hard to surpass. In six games, they lost none, scored a total of 66 points and had only 4 points scored against them. Their strength lay chiefly in their line where heavy plungers like
Shipley, Wright., Kenney_ and Rice kept their opponents on the defen- sive. The line men were ably sup- ported in the backfield by Arthur, Storey, Davidson, McKay and Miron.
Collingwood vs. Penetang
The C.C.I. Juniors visited Pene- tang on Sept. 28 for their first game. For some of the players this was an experienoe as it was their first year at rugby. The game was close and the teams were well matched. Col- lingwood scored two rouges, making
the only scores of the game. Pene- tang tried hard but could not force a comeback. The game ended 2-0.
Collingwood vs. Owen Sound
The weather was feeling fine in Owen Sound on October 5th, and so were the juniors. From the first of the game they started off playing fast football and held their sway
