till the ·end. Darkness was falling near the last but from what we saw Bernhardt was tackling nicely while the whole line w~s breaking fast. Storey scored 3 points on a dropkick over the bar, from about 25 yards out. With this lead the gang surged on, holding everything in check until the final whistle. Score 3-0 favor of the C.C.I.
Co!Hingwood vs. Barrie (Oct. 13)
With a fair crowd in attendance ar:ct! tr.e ro.oter's club under Wa.lt Rice in full swing, the game got off to a good start.
In the first two minutes Shipley for Collingwood, scored a touch and a few minutes later Storey follow- ed the lead with another. C.C.I. was then forced tq rouge by Barrie.
In the 3rd quarter McKay scored the 3rd touch of the game. Before the end however, Barrie was forced to rouge four times, thereby leaving the game 19-1 for C.C.I. Rice at middle played nicely for locals.
Owen Sound vs. Collingwood
Owen Sound staged a return to our city on Oc·tober 26th. There WM a large crowd present to cheer for tr.1d;r res:r;ective teamf). The C.C.l. juniors had their line working like a piece of clockwork with Shipley and Rice in the limelight. Storey had · his boot working nicely while other
strongpoints of the game were Alf. Miron Arthur at quarter and Graf- ton Wright speedy middle. Owen Sound tried hard to keep from a shut out but the game ended 11-0
for C.C.I.
Penetang vs. Collilngwood (Nov. ~)
The C.C.I. was at home to Pene- tang Juniors on Nov. 2. There was no Senior game as the Penetang fel- lows were playing in the O.R.F.U at Penetan··.•. The game was rather
loosely played, both teams fumbling more than usual. Collingwood man- ao·ed 3 touchdowns and a rouge, while Penetang succeeded in collect-
ing two points on a safety touch. No team in the district had as yet scar-
ed more than two points against the C.C.I. Juniors. Score 16-2.
Collingwood vs. Barrie
The last game of the G.B.R.F.L. wa.s played in Barrie on November 15. Barrie kicked off and in less than a minute the C.C.I. had secured a touchdown. Both teams battled hard and returned plunge for plunge w1th Shiptey for the IC4CJI. Jealling the linemen. Arthur as quarter handled the team nicely on line plays and as a result Jim Wright, hefty man
of the juniors, charged through for a touch. The last part of the game was close due to careful playing on both teams. The Barrie players scor- ed on one kick while the C.C.I. net- ted three. Game ·ended 15-2 for C.C.I.

ning of the season "Stapes" was laid UiJ by an operation, but managed to conval- esce in ·time to see the Juniors win the cup.
E. H. Reynolds-Mr. Reynolds willingly filled the coaching vacancy while Mr. Stap- leton was absent. He was a tactition from the shoes up and improved with experience.
"Bll(l" Ganglu1n- Middle wing. Bud was captain of the Senior's. He was a marvel- ous plunger aud a mau who kept up the spirit of the team. He practically dou·tled the wing line's offensive and was extreme- ly popuJar at home and abroad, oh! oh~
"Dick" W.nlters-Quarter back, uncom- monly known as Mervyn. :U'ick once occu- pied the driver's reigns at ·the ~.ivot posi- tion and was a canny field general. "Great was Dick" in the punches.
"Ditty" l>itson-Left half. Speed anrl more speed was Ditty's motto. or all the back fielders we have ever seen. Ditty was the fastest. On end runs, Ditty was the man to watch. Ditty also inspired a little "fight" in the gang. You know what we mean "school spirit."
Don Mcl>ermid- Right half. Don moved up from junior ranks this year and made good with a hang. He cinched the right half position with his broken field rur.·
