Juniors advanced irlto the finals with Stamford. The game was played Sat- urday afternoon, March 7, in the Eastern High School of Commerce, Toronto. During the first half the C.C.I. boys played superior basket- ball but inability to sink their free throws cost them the game and the chamlpionship. Stamford won 22-18.
JUNIORS
Allan McLean - Centre and Captain.
"Major" looked like a Senior and played like one too.
Charlie Connolly-Forward. Charlie was a spectacular forward and worked in some smooth playlil.
Jack Brown-Forward. Jack teamed we!l with Charli~ and Allan and slipped in hill own share of baskets as well.
Dnuc. Currie - Forward. Dune play~d well as an alternate and should be hard to bQat next year.
·Alex. Irvine-Forward. Alex. is another youngster who will need watching.
Stewal't Ellis-Guard. Stewart had devel- oped a real system Of breaking up plays. Gllf. Leinster--Guard. Gilf was a hard
boy to get around.
Joe Goo1lchild-Guard. Joe always play-
ed well and needs watchln,g.

The C.C.I. league got under way shortly after Christmas. In the jun- ior section, five evenly matched teams battled it out in a double

schedule. Swain's end~d up in first place with Currie's team right on his heels. The finals were played be- tween first -and second place teams. Currie's won the first game but in the second Swain's overcame the lead to win the championship.
In the senior section four teams, Bernhardt's, Story's, Allen,'s and Sproule's, fought their way through a double schedule. Bernhardt's end- ed on top with Allen's and Sproule's on the second rung. A sudden death gam:e gave Allen's the verdict and his team was qualified to play Bern- hardt's in the finals. The first game ended with a three point lead for Bernhardt's but in the second game, Allen finishing hard, won the game

Shield · TRACK TEAM
The Track Team under the coach- ing of Mr. Reynolds, has always been a major organization in the ath- letic life of the C. C. I. The 1930 team was no exception and put in a very good account of themselves. The members were as follows:
