In the five league games, the defense never gave up more than twenty points in any one game. Linebackers Gary Cailes, Charlie Hogg, Bill Phillips, and Dave Scott provided sure tackling. Len Reid, Sam Kane, Steve Livingstone, John Cooper, Jack Shields, and Larry Conn proved rough along the line, and Wayne McCoy, George Bell, John Durrant, and Charlie Hurrell knocked down several passes.
The offense, led by quarterbacks Terry Atkinson and Don Bowins improved with every game. AI Bell, George Bell, and Wally Doner combined both power running and outside plays to keep the opposing defense on edge. Sam Kane, Mike Ferguson, Gary Cailes opened many holes for the blocks, and Larry Conn, Peter Scott, Leo Kea, and Stu Homuth were strong at the ends. Greg Fletcher and Jeff Potts anchored the centre of the line.
Special thanks to managers Paul Stephenson and Steve Rhodes, and team coaches, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Fogg, and Mr. Hunwicks.
