The Senior Boys Volleyball Team had an ex- cellent season in 1987. The team finished in sec- ond place at two weekend tournaments and finish- ed second in league play, losing only to first place Innisdale. The team earned the right to go to the GBSSA Championships and at the tournament, the team played very well and defeated the two North- ern entries. Unfortunately, the team met Innisdale in the GB final game and their old nemisis defeated them in a hard-fought match.
The players on the team learned a lot of volleyball while improve all season. They deserve congratulations for their spirited play. Many thanks go to graduating players Chris Beckett, Ray Hurrel, Shawn Hilts, James Hoy and Rick Martin. The other players should form a strong nucleus for next year's team.
